Creating a Bitcoin tax report with Koinly

You can export a complete history of your transactions at HardBlock Australian Bitcoin Exchange (AUD & BTC deposits & withdrawals, Bitcoin buy & sell transactions) to a spreadsheet in a format understood by Koinly.io.

You do not need to amend the file for Koinly to import it. As a matter of fact, you should NOT edit any fields, except for the Description.

You can manually fill in the Description if you'd like to add notes to specific transactions. This text will appear in Koinly and will be available when you click a corresponding transaction. Reuploading the file with a changed description, won't reflect the change in your Koinly account, nor with the description added to the transaction which was previously already uploaded to Koinly.

We use Koinly’s default time zone (UTC) in the file (do not change it to your time zone when uploading the file). Transactions time on Koinly.io is displayed in UTC, however, in reports, time will be converted to the time zone specified in your Koinly Settings.

First-time upload – create a new wallet in Koinly:

1. Wallets,
2. + Add wallet / exchange,
3. type in "HardBlock", click it & follow the prompts.

Next uploads (updates) should be done not by adding a new wallet, but by going to:

1. Wallets,
2. 3 vertical dots against HardBlock's wallet and
3. "Import file".

If you go to "Add wallet", you will duplicate previous transactions and create another Hardblock wallet – as presented on the screen above.

The file downloaded from HardBlock Australian Bitcoin Exchange contains the complete transactions history. Do NOT delete the transactions, that were already synced, from the file.
